If you have made the decision to change from your standard road car to a 4WD you must remember to gain knowledge and experience before you go off-roading.
It is important that you read and understand your vehicle’s manual and feel comfortable driving your 4WD. You should not take risks if you feel out of your abilities to drive as this could cause injuries to yourself or others.
Setting your car ready for off-roading is important, you must have adequate water and food, to ensure that you will be able to survive should you become lodged or stuck. Remember warm blankets too, should you have to sleep in your vehicle overnight.
If you are new to 4-wheel driving you should find 4×4 groups and join them on an off-roading adventure, then you will have help and support around you should you require it. Always know your limitations and keep safe.
