Driving in a foreign country is a great experience but can also be very scary. Make sure before you set off from country to country you have all your driving documents, original license and valid permit for the country you wish to drive in (if required).

Do your research. Many countries drive on the right-hand side of the road; this can be a very different experience from our left hand driving roads. If you are hiring a car, make sure you are comfortable in using the new vehicle. And remember your gear stick is on your right!

If you are lucky enough to go to a country that drives on the Left-hand side, such as Australia or New Zealand it makes it a lot easier. Down under love automatics and are pretty nippy drivers. Look out for invisible toll roads and pedestrians crossing to your left, even with the traffic lights on green.
