The weather doesn’t just take its toll on us humans, it also causes problems for cars, especially really hot weather. If you find that your car often overheats in hot weather then there can be a number of things wrong.
The coolant pump may be blocked, and you should apply lubricant and clean the pipe out until water begins to move through. You can also have a broken thermostat that needs replacing and this is an extremely quick fix, but it’s not usually the most common issue.
Using a rod to clean out the radiator is another possible fix, and if you find a great deal of gunk inside of the radiator then this is likely to be the issue, but the worst case scenario is that you need an entirely new radiator, and this is usually a quite costly replacement.
