Here in the UK, the weather around Christmas can be wet, icy, damp or even covered in snow – though that hasn’t happened for a few years now. That’s exactly why we’d like to express how important it is to drive with caution and care at Christmas time. It seems as though there are more accidents in the UK with every winter, and it’s not an uncommon site in the UK to see cars in standstill traffic on the motorway. You almost come to expect it and factor it into your journey time before you set off! To drive with care, you should keep your distance from the vehicle in front so you have a clearer view of the road ahead. Braking early is also vital so you have time to recover should you brake on black ice or snow. You should also ensure all key components of your car are working such as brake lights, indicators, heater and speedo. Make sure you do all you can to drive safe this Christmas.
