When your motor vehicle headlight has gone, most simply replace the one faulty light, however replacing just one bulb can result in an unbalanced headlight beam, which could lead to a potential safety risk. This alteration to the cars lighting system could affect both the driver and any oncoming drivers too. The oncoming drivers may find it difficult to assess the positioning of the oncoming vehicle as different light strengths may give the illusion of the car being closer or further away than it actually is. It may also be confused with a single headlight of a bike, which may lead to a collision. As for the driver, they should get full usage of the lights, providing a fully lit road for ease of driving during the night.

It is also recommended that all vehicle lights should be changed regularly, before they blow out themselves. Like most items of a car, getting items replaced early prevents any unwanted accidents later down the line.
